Assessments

Good tutoring begins with an assessment

Every student entering the Learning Solutions program(s) is informally assessed during their first scheduled tutoring session by the Education Director or the Education Coordinator. Learning Solutions offers two varieties of assessment depending on the individual needs of your learner:

    1. General Academic Assessment
    2. Full Diagnostic Assessment

General Academic Assessment

The information gained during a General Academic Assessment is used to diagnose the general academic needs of a student to determine where they should be placed within the program(s), or whether they require an Individualized Program. The General Academic Assessment is a Language and/or Math assessment depending on the needs of the individual student.

Assessment Fee: $60

Full Diagnostic Assessment

A Full Diagnostic Assessment is administered when a formal assessment and report are required. This report can be used in conjunction with other data to support the referral or diagnosis of an individual. For example, the report can be used along with supporting data to support a student’s need for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The Full Diagnostic Assessment will be a Language and/or Math assessment depending on the individual needs of the student.
